On Friday, NBS classes had a blast at CARA’s 5th Annual School Farm Safety Day! 🚜🚑 Students rotated through hands-on centers learning about large equipment safety, fuel safety, first aid, grain bin safety, pesticide safety and livestock safety. A huge thank you to WEBBS, CO-OP, the Consort ambulance and firefighting crews, CARA, and Gould Ranching for the informative sessions. A highlight of the day of course was getting to pet the puppies, and the miniature pony, and watching the firetruck shoot water into the air. 🍔 The day ended with a delicious barbecue provided by Gould Ranching. Huge congratulations to our NBS artists! 🎨🚌 Back in October, students created Bus Safety posters, and we are thrilled to announce the division level winners who all received Subway gift cards back in the fall: Keller Tye (1st place overall-Gr.6), Cabrie Tye (3rd overall-Gr.4), and Connor Blair (3rd overall-Gr.3). All division submissions went on to provincials, where Kendall Blair won 1st for grade 2s across the province.
