Thank you Savanna Tye for the Dental Health Presentation on Friday. The students enjoyed the “Tooth Defenders” video, and were excited to take home their new toothbrushes, toothpaste and posters!

Remembrance Day Poster 2019 Winner. Congratulations to Gr 3 student Quade Tye for winning 1st ($35 prize) at the local branch level. He also won 3rd ($40 prize) at Districts. Thank you to Kim Walker for coming to New Brigden to present Quade with his awards and prize money! Great job Quade!

Halloween fun at NBS. We did Halloween activities in LA and Math this morning. Then costumes, musical chairs, Bingo, treats, movies and prizes this afternoon! Wow! Great day!

Today the students were so excited to make a special thank you card for our wonderful bus drivers! Thank you Lorrie Tye, Ray Girletz, and Cody Ball for keeping our students safe on your daily route. The kids absolutely love you! Happy Bus Driver Appreciation Day!❤️

Today we had a fun spirit day, it was “Crazy Hat Day”. Some great creations!Even Mrs. Tye showed off her artistic skills with her crazy hat.

First show and tell for Kindergarten today at NBS. Everyone loved Charlie’s little visitors. Thanks dad, Brenden, for bringing in the puppies. We all enjoyed a little snuggle time with them.

We are working on the Rocks and Minerals unit in Science. Today students had to find a rock and analyze it. They were excited to discover the various attributes of their special rock.

We had a great time riding bikes this afternoon at NBS. Love to see all the smiling faces as the kids rode the bikes this beautiful afternoon!

Wednesday was our first day of Kindergarten! We were so excited to welcome our four amazing K students to our NBS family. Charlie, Jaxson, Reid and Benjamin had a great first day!

We had a great first day at NBS! It was wonderful to see all the happy smiling faces! We had some new procedures to practice. We all agreed we are going to learn, have fun, be caring and stay safe all year!

Got Glen to get the bikes ready, pumping up tires, making brake and seat adjustments, and oiling the chains, while I worked in the classroom getting ready for tomorrow! Can’t wait for everyone to be back at NBS!

What an inspiring afternoon spent with Dr. Jody Carrington, other school leaders, teachers, and FSLWs at PRSD. We had great discussions about the current challenges that teachers and parents are facing as we prepare for classes to start on Monday! I am so excited to reconnect with my staff and students as we come back to NBS next week! Thanks Reagan Weeks for booking our time with Jody and making this day possible!
