Hello parents of New Brigden School. We know many of you have questions about back to school this fall. Tonight was ECS Celebration for our five little ECS students. The students were interviewed by Mrs. Tye explaining what they want to be when they grow up, and what the job is all about. Jaxson wants be a palaeontologist, Charlotte and Aimsley both want to be veterinarians, while Eddie wants to be a farmer, and Keller a police officer. They received congratulations from trustee Lois Bedwell, and gifts from the community, NB ECS, and from the staff. We are so proud, and can’t wait to have these kids back to school in the fall.

I gave a few students a special Science project. They were to research, and build a nest for a great horned owl family. There were three babies on the ground East of Provost after their nest fell apart. Eva and Alaina did a great job, and thank you to Simone for providing all the materials and delivering the nest to NBS. Glen and I secured the nest in the tree, then put two of the feisty little babies into the nest. We then searched for #3, we found him about 500 meters away and got him in the nest. We watched and waited, and were thrilled when the Momma came and perched on the edge of the new nest. So glad we could use Eva and Alaina’s nest to rescue these amazing birds. After all three were in the nest, we watched and waited for the Momma to return. We were thrilled when she came and perched herself on the edge of the new nest. Happy Easter Everyone! NBS usually has an Easter party, and we often make and decorate cupcakes. We didn’t want our kids to miss out. So, we sent home a cake mix and tub of icing and challenged them to make a bunny cake or cupcakes. Here are some of the little ones making their projects!
